About AutoServiceDirectory

AutoServiceDirectory is an independent directory of auto repair shops, run by AutoServiceDirectory. It is not owned by, or paid by, any auto repair shop for anything except the Verified listing plan described below.

Where listings come from

Details come from each auto repair shop’s own public website and social pages, and from submissions sent with our form. We record the source and the date each listing was last checked or changed, and show that date on the page. We do not publish ratings or reviews, and we never invent hours or prices: when a fact is unknown the listing says “Not listed”.

To fix a mistake, use the add or update form. Closed auto repair shops are removed.

Basic and Verified listings

Basic listings are free. Their details come from public sources (the auto repair shop’s own website and social pages) or from a submission, and each shows the date it was last updated. Nobody at the auto repair shop has confirmed a Basic listing with us.

Verified listings are a paid plan coming soon. Before we label a listing Verified, we check the state repair-shop registration with the state agency that keeps it, such as California’s Bureau of Automotive Repair (in states with no register, we confirm ownership using the phone number or website email already on the listing), and confirm the details with the owner. Verified listings will be shown first, with a one-line note saying so wherever that happens.
