## How data is sourced

Details come from each auto repair shop's own website and social pages, or from submissions. Every listing shows its source and the date it was last updated. Unknown facts are left out, never guessed.

## Basic and Verified

Basic listings are free. Their details come from public sources (the auto repair shop’s own website and social pages) or from a submission, and each shows the date it was last updated. Nobody at the auto repair shop has confirmed a Basic listing with us.

Verified listings are a paid plan coming soon. Before we label a listing Verified, we check the state repair-shop registration with the state agency that keeps it, such as California’s Bureau of Automotive Repair (in states with no register, we confirm ownership using the phone number or website email already on the listing), and confirm the details with the owner. Verified listings will be shown first, with a one-line note saying so wherever that happens. Verified is coming soon; all listings are free for now.
